Students, Parents, and Teachers;
At ICA we compete in the Red Rock Athletic Conference. There are three seasons we participate in, Fall, Winter, and Spring. The fall season includes girls volleyball, flag football, and cross country. The winter season sports are girls and boys basketball while the spring season includes soccer. In every sport, we allow 4th-8th grade students to try out for each team.
ICA is first and foremost an academic school and we strive to raise up academic scholars, therefore playing on any sports team is a privilege not a right and all athletes will be held to a high standard.
Grade checks will be done every two weeks by having progress reports submitted to the Athletic Department by their teacher. Students must maintain a 79% or higher in all classes. If that student should have below a 79% he will be on probation until they have pulled their grade up to a 79% or higher. With this information the Athletic Director will notify the students who do not meet the standard and will have to sit out for the games when they are below a 79%. They still may participate in practices and students are encouraged to be at the games and on the bench supporting their teammates even when on probation.
Thank you for supporting your student and any questions or concerns please see the Athletic Director.
